Gourmet cooking class with Chef Ken LeFebour

We would like to thank Chef Ken LeFebour and all who participated in our first “Gourmet” Cooking class on March the 4th.

The wonderful cooking aromas filled the Centre and there was a lot of  envious Judo, Iaido and Kendo students!

We are planning to do a series of 6 more classes once Chef Ken has finalized his schedule.

Chef Ken catered our Wagyu Beef fund raising dinner and is known for his unique approach to food. He has a number of years of experience as a Chef, his last post was as the Executive Chef at the Edgewater Manor before he opened his Gourmet to Go in Dundas.

The Menu will be:

Appetiser:  Piccionne farm mushroom, cabernet reduction with artisan cheese

Main:  Lobster Mac & Cheese

Desert: Chocolate mousse with candied pecans

 The Cost per person is $50. This includes food costs. A portion will go to the CJCC.

This is a fun class where Chef Ken guides you through the menu, you will learn some cooking tips and techniques. Students are advised to bring a good kitchen knife, apron, and a couple of dish towels for clean up. This is a “hands on course”, students will prep, cook and clean up. Then they can enjoy the meal they prepared! (expect to eat about 8:30-9:00 p.m. you may want to have a small snack before the class begins)

This is a trial run to see if there interest in running an 8 week course through March and April.

The seating is limited to 14 participants, please book early.
